These terms describe the agreement between you and BettaBond. We aim to keep them readable, so you can understand what you are agreeing to.

Pilot — interim terms, pending legal review
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using BettaBond, you agree to these interim terms and to our Privacy Policy and Safety Guidelines.
2. Who can use BettaBond
During the pilot, BettaBond is for adults aged 18 and over. You must be 18+ to join. We verify your age bracket at signup.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to participate respectfully. You will not use BettaBond to harm others, to break the law, or to abuse the people and AI in your circles. Our Safety Guidelines describe this in detail.
5. AI friends and your content
The AI you talk to remembers your conversations so it can grow with you over time. You keep ownership of the content you create. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time. Self-serve export of your conversations and memories is on our roadmap; until it is available, contact us and we will help you get a copy of your data.
6. Plans, billing, and trials
BettaBond offers a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans begin with a free period; you are not charged until you choose to continue. You can cancel at any time.
7. Intellectual property
BettaBond owns the platform, its software, and its branding. You own the content you create. We use it only to operate the service for you.
8. Ending your use of BettaBond
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms or the Safety Guidelines are broken. We will explain what happens to your data when an account ends.
9. Disclaimers and limits
BettaBond is a space for connection and conversation. It does not provide professional, medical, or therapeutic advice. When you need real human help, we point you to real resources. This section sets out the limits of our responsibility as permitted by law.
10. Governing law and disputes
The laws that govern these terms and how disputes are handled will be confirmed with legal counsel as part of the full terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as BettaBond grows. We will tell you about meaningful changes and update the date at the top of this page.
